Apr. 28, 1974: Because the Shrine Circus was booked in the St. Paul Civic Center, game four of the WHA semifinal series between the Saints and Houston is played one week after game three. Houston wins 4-1 to tie the series at two games each in front of a then-WHA record crowd of 17,211. The game features a memorable fight between Gord Gallant and Ted Taylor. Both received multiple penalties, including double majors and misconducts. In his third and last game as a Saint, Bill Goldthorpe gets a major and a game misconduct.
